Twilight

Stephenie Meyer

10/10

This is a really good book. It's about a girl named Bella who goes to a place called Forks to stay with her father while her mother is in Florida. She then meets a boy named Edward Cullen. He kind of scares her when she first meets him because he seems to hate her though they'd never spoken. Edward turns out to have a gift. He can read minds. Oh, and one other thing, he's a vampire. Edward doesn't want to get too close to Bella because he's afraid he may hurt her. But when another vampire comes out and tries to kill Bella by breaking her ribs, leg and makes her have stiches on her head and bites her palm, inserting venom into her bloodstream. Edwardhas to make a descision. Either he can suck Bella's blood to get the venom out or he can leave Bella in pain for about three days. He decides to suck her blood. He gets the venom out and manages to stop. The reason he didn't want to suck her blood is because he's afraid he won't be able to stop and will kill Bella of bloodloss.

In the end Bella chooses to stay in Forks to be with Edward. Though Edward is afraid for her, is greatful as he loves her.

Hi Caitlin, I am thrilled you liked "Twilight." It is such a popular series and now that the movie has come out it is even more in demand in the library. Have you seen the movie? How would you compare the book with the movie? Do you think the movie portrayed the characters as you imagined them to be from your reading? Are you reading "New Moon?" Another series you might like to consider reading is "Vampire Academy." Happy reading!
